Forget about the old instructions to "Rinse. Lather. Repeat." With WEN cleansing conditioners there is no lather, yet it cleans and conditiones hair.
Shampoos contain detergent and strip hair of vital oils. WEN does not. The Origin of WEN“I developed the process of cleansing and conditioning in 1993,” says Chaz Dean, the stylist to some pretty high A-List celebrities. One of the reasons he invented the products was because his clients always complained that their color faded after a couple weeks. And hair loses its luster and shine after several washings. The WEN system addresses these complaints. Dean says the best way to use the WEN cleansing conditioner is to get the hair thoroughly wet after entering the shower. Then the user should apply several squirts of product to each section of hair, gently massage in, and use a little water to spread the product throughout the head. Because it is so good for hair, users can never use too much. The next step is to simply shower. At the end of the shower, thoroughly rinse the hair. The single step process saves time and money. It is also healthier for hair because there is not detergent. Using the Cleansing ConditionerThe Cleansing Conditioners are gentle and can be used every day. Dean suggests that if a person does not want to wash their hair every day, if they want they can create an in-between concoction using about 5 pumps of the Cleansing Conditioner and a small amount of Styling Crème. Put those in a spray bottle with some water. Mix completely then spray on hair, about 12-18 inches above the head. This is a little picker-upper and allows the user to fluff and restyle their hair. Dean has several products created for specific hair types, but they are all free from damaging ingredients. They are made from a balance of herbs and natural ingredients that moisturize and strengthen hair while adding shine. They contain no sodium laurel sulfate or other damaging ingredients. The different cleansing conditioners are: Sweet Almond Mint, Cucumber Aloe, Fig, Tea Tree, and Lavender. The Sweet Almond Mint is recommended for all hair types. For exceptionally dry and damaged hair, Dean has a Moist Intensive Hair Repair Mask. The line of WEN products includes a styling cream and a balm. Chaz DeanChaz Dean is not only a hair stylist, he is also a make-up artist as well as a photographer. He often donates his photographs to charity events. He enjoys capturing “the essence of an individual” through his photography. Besides selling the products in his Hollywood Salon, Chaz also sells them on QVC as well as his website.
