The Competition
This year, Kenra’s Volume Spray 25 competed with Aveda Air Control , Paul Mitchell Worked Up, Redken Quick Dry, and Sebastian Shaper. What Does ‘25’ Mean?
Kenra developed its own Hold Index to describe how strong its finishing sprays are. Zero represents no hold, 12 is medium hold, and 25 is super hold. Volume Spray 25 is also known as Superhold Finishing Spray in styling circles and by faithful devotees.
Those in-the-know will often refer to this winner as simply ‘25,’ triggering nodding heads, and fostering a brotherhood usually reserved for exclusive clubs.
